Spinning East Asia Series
The Spinning East Asia exhibition series, presented across 2021 Winter and 2022 Spring seasons, feature more than 40 artists, designers and researchers. The first chapter sets out to survey the impact and potentials of ‘design’ in East Asia, while the second chapter invites contemporary artists and designers to reimagine and comprehend the interdependent yet conflicted web of East Asian relations. Bringing together the striking images and text from the two exhibitions, as well as research essays by curators and scholars, this digital publication contributes vital insights into the socio-cultural complexities of East Asia through the lens of textile.
