Stitch Your Own Koinobori with Nuno Textiles
Create your own koinobori (carp streamer) with Nuno textiles while sitting beneath the Koi Currents installation.
Come springtime in Japan, it is common to see fabric carp streamers hung at the porch of each household as symbols of good fortune, health and growth. In this workshop, you can learn several basic stitches to assemble fabrics to create your own koinobori. Pick from the many fabrics of the Nuno archive to create your own unique piece.
Hang it on your window and watch it swim when it catches the wind!
Suitable for age 12 and above. Children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult and will be provided materials for one participant. No previous experience is needed.
All tools and materials are provided, with textiles provided by Nuno Corporation.
Capacity: 8
