Granny 2-woo X Little Green Feet

Reading Corner –
Little Green Feet X Granny 2-woo

Little Green Feet
Little Green Feet is a family community that is active in all 18 districts of Hong Kong and promotes the culture of reading. Little Green Feet believes that children are citizens of the present; therefore, together with children, they take part in responding to different social issues.

Liang Yee Woo, Evelyna (Granny 2-woo)
Granny 2-woo takes parts in art in a social context. In the past 30 years, she founded different charitable, social, artistic establishments, including “Garden Streams – Art in the Camp” for Vietnamese refugees in Hong Kong; hospital art initiative “Art in the Hospital” and “Art for All”, an organisation empowering marginalised groups with art. She believes that art is something that everyone can enjoy and possess.

Reading Corner
Reading corner is created by Little Green Feet and art educator Granny 2-woo. A family-friendly space specially designed for reading, Little Green Feet’s selected children story and illustration books are stored in the pouches of a fabric book shelf designed by Granny 2-woo. The space is decorated by fabric arts created by her and children, telling the dreams and aspirations of the young minds. Families are welcome to spend an afternoon in this bright and comfy corner to enjoy a book and share stories.

Weekend Workshop

Family Fabric Art Workshop
How can you tell a story within a picture? In this family workshop, art educator Granny 2-woo will teach you and your child how you make use of upcycled fabrics to collage the story on a piece of cloth. As she tells you a story about the mystery of fabric, you are encouraged to devise your own story with your child and reflect it in the patchwork.
