Film screening and Post-screening Discussion
Hong Kong’s textile industry was once booming. Two short films “An Ordinary Day of Hing” and “Taste of Pomme” tell the stories of the disappearing textile industry through the daily lives of an old tailor and a sewing lady. On the other hand, documentary “Cotton” focuses on the factory workers in China. Spanning over eight years, it recorded the tireless lives of the workers under the influence of globalisation and fast fashion. Join us for the post-screening discussions with Yip Wai Ping, Director of “Taste of Pomme”; Lo Chun Yip, Mentor of the filming project “An Ordinary Day of Hing” and Zhou Hou, Director of “Cotton”.
