Conversation with Tailors from After After Party
Cheung Chi Mau (Master Cheung) and Kwok Hang Lin (Auntie Hang) have been working in the textile industry for over 40 years. They have also collaborated with CHAT through various workshop, programmes and the participating artists’ projects. In the exhibition Unfolding: Fabric of Our Life, the exhibiting artwork After After Party by Taipei based artist Huang Po-Chih was inspired by their life stories, tracing the history of the rise and fall of the textile industry and its market. Master Cheung and Auntie Hang were also involved in the production and made two leather jackets as costumes for the artist’s project. In this event, they will demonstrate the process of making leather jackets and share their experience of being involved with artists’ creations.
