A Sea (Dis)placed: Family Creative Reading Workshop
Explore the mysterious underwater world of East Asia and expand your imagination!
The exhibition Spinning East Asia Series II: A Net (Dis)entangled showcases a variety of artworks which explore the geographical and social boundaries of East Asia regions, while some artists reimagine the discourse of the ocean through arts. From the displaying artworks to picture books, children will learn about the interconnected geographical history of East Asia and ways to become creative global citizens!
To cultivate children’s ability of expression and their creativity, the instructor will use storytelling and drawing exercises to guide young participants to produce and share their own stories of the ocean. Participants will then explore the ever-changing power of the East Asian seas together by creating a collaborative map of the ocean.
