#danceless- Body on Stage @ Tikar Emoji

Free Admission|RSVP

Artists from Unlock Dancing Plaza will lead participants in a Body on Stage workshop to demonstrate the possibilities of dance with simple methods. Setting aside formal dancing techniques, the workshop guides participants to discover the body as a medium of experience, explore rhythmic body movements and experience the joy of dance.

Later that afternoon, the artists and the public participants will debut their dance at the Come Closer Open Stage at The Hall of The Mills, atop Yee I-Lann’s woven artwork Tikar Emoji. The dance performance will be choregraphed by Unlock’s Artistic Director, Hong Kong-based Malaysian Ong Yong Lock.

Experience:  Suitable for participants aged 18 or above; no prior dance experience is required. Participants are required to perform in socks. No shoes are allowed on the artwork.

This workshop and performance require physical movement and interactions. This programme is unfortunately not suitable for visually impaired, hearing impaired, speech impaired and disabled persons.
