Let’s get creative and have fun upcycling!
In this two-day winter camp, little ones can be as arty as they like while learning about sustainable living in a series of hands-on activities. They will draw inspiration from CHAT’s exhibition and transform upcycled materials into their own masterpieces. Not only will children give shape to their ideas through art, but they will also develop their creative thinking skills and environmental awareness.
Day 1: We will kick off the journey with an exciting exploration of the rooftop garden at The Deck, where children will learn about various plants and their potential as natural dyes. Through plant observation, sketching and leaf pounding, participants will connect with nature and unleash their creativity. The day concludes with a natural dyeing workshop to experiment with vibrant plant-based red, yellow and blue dyes.
Day 2: The day starts with a tour of BOLOHO: Visitants to Lunar Factory, an exhibition featuring CHAT’s artist-in-residence in 2024. After getting inspiration from the artworks displayed, participants will then let their imagination run free in a fabric collage session, turning upcycled materials into their own unique creations, such as tote bags or tree-shaped decorations, to take home.
