Dance Performance: Let Me Tell You The 99th Story
Here at CHAT, embark on an after-hours journey through light and shadow, choreography and the seasonal exhibition, all while learning about the stories of the dancer and the artist.
Renowned Hong Kong choreographer and dancer Mui Cheuk Yin will dance in Kingsley Ng’s exhibition space and interact with his artworks. While responding to the 98 stories of animal companions and their human families carried by Globes, she will also share the 99th story:
‘Through words, light and shadow, music and dance, I will also tell you about a cat I once cared for. I rescued Blind Piggy from the street. Because of her serious condition, she eventually lost her eyesight. That, however, didn’t stop her from exploring the world, nor did it hold back her passion and curiosity towards life. Her fearlessness taught me one of the most important lessons in life – your attitude determines the essence of your life and the height of your achievement.
With tender steps and gentle moves, cats heal the wounds suffered by the old city.’
The performance lasts approximately 1 hour with no intermission.
