Sky Patch, created by the esteemed Chinese contemporary artist Yin Xiuzhen in collaboration with her husband, artist Song Dong, hones in on the dialogue and collaboration between Yin, her mother and her daughter. Through the eyes of three women from different generations, it delicately captures the subtle nuances of life and emotions amid drastic changes in China over half a century: the impact of the textile industry’s transformation on workers’ lives, the rapid advancement of contemporary arts and culture propelled by China’s opening up, and the complexities faced by young people growing up in the ever-evolving digital age. The film was completed during the pandemic.

Yin and Song will be present to interact with the audience after the screening.
