Phulkari Flower Embroidery
Phulkari originated in the Punjab region in India and is a technique inspired by the patterns of daily life and nature, and its name is derived from the Punjabi word for flower. It makes use of geometric shapes and is similar to kogin zashi, a type of Japanese sashiko technique which Fashion Clinic has specialised in for many years. In this workshop, participants will learn a range of stitches that will allow them to create their own phulkari garden.
-All tools (embroidery needle, thread, hoop and scissors) included
-Suitable for participants aged 8 or above; participants aged 8-12 must be supervised by an adult participant
