Bamboo Sliver Weaving Workshop
Modern eating utensils are often made of non-biodegradable materials which generate pollution during their production processes. Bamboo, on the other hand, is a natural and sustainable raw material with a rapid growth rate.
For generations, the traditional craft of bamboo weaving has been indispensable from daily life, as traditional tea ceremonies and eating culture often involves utensils made of bamboo. Participants in this workshop will be able to appreciate the unique fragrance and qualities of bamboo by making their own bamboo tea strainers and cup sleeves.
Krac-A-Dawna Organic Farm has been working with local collaborators in the planning and organisation of the above workshops and sharings.
