Yukihiro Taguchi
Residency period
Sep–Dec 2016
Born in 1980 in Osaka, Japan, Taguchi lives and works in Berlin. Rooted in interventions that interweave his physical body with the surrounding landscape, the artist takes inspiration from unpredictable encounters with everyday objects and people on the streets, and to document the process through installations, events, and stop-motion video works. Taguchi conducts research on common and traditional customs of the city. He hosts spontaneous events and workshops to engage with the public, improvising street art. In his research, he documents the change of space, people and atmosphere via digital photography and video.
