Known for running one of the few natural indigo dyeing practices in Hong Kong, Max To developed his own practice in Lantau with aims to revive natural methods of making high quality clothing with indigo dye. His practice has attracted the attention of several lifestyle and craft related media which has helped spread his ideas and create a network in the region.
The Lantau Blue studio is located in a traditional village in South Lantau hidden in the forest and close to the sea, fully treasuring natural resources and exploring methods of ancient textile making. Visiting it is truly an incomparable opportunity to get out of the city and into nature.
